Power of Poudre

Something has me smizing! Can you tell I'm excited? Why you ask? Because I'm wearing my favourite shoes of course! I came to one realization this weekend, and that is that I need to stop "saving" items in my closet. Why do we have such pretty things if we are only letting them sit in the closet and wait for that "special night"? These shoes are actually my favourite; they are the most comfortable shoes I own, and they never fail to lift my spirits and put a smile on my face. For me they really represent hard work and give me a sense of accomplishment, as I spent a long while saving for them (key word- looooong). So why have I had them for over a year and can literally count how many times I have worn them on one hand? No more my friends! This weekend I embraced the "now or never" expression and vowed to myself that I will break out my "special" pieces more often. To keep the outfit casual I opted for boyfriend jeans and a flowy tank (obsessed with these camis) for an evening out with the ladies.

Do you have items in your closet that you're "saving" for that special occasion? Why not take them out today, or tomorrow and fill your heart with the joy you felt when you first purchased them!

  1. Love this outfit, and LOVE those shoes! I agree with you, if they make you feel great then there's no reason not to wear them more often!

  3. I used to do that, then I was I stopped holding items for special occasions. I feel that everyday it should be a special occasion. Those shoes are way too pretty for the world not to see them (me included!) on a daily basis. Please and thank you!lol

  6. I love those shoes so much! One day! I'm going to take your advice and take something I've been saving for a spin. You're right, why bother saving things for a special occasion :)
