I'm sure we're all getting to that point. It's almost mid-August, the stores are bombarding us with fall fashion and we want to dive in. But part of us is holding on to summer, and for every good reason. When I saw these wide-leg culottes gracing the Zara pre-fall section my heart leaped! I love how casual and effortless they are, but can become super fancy at the drop of a dime. The perfect shade of blush, a draw-string waist, and the price point was insane-- could.not.resist. My thoughts were racing with all the fall outfit potential; army green blouse, stripe top, black booties... But I also just couldn't wait to wear them! You can start wearing your fall pieces now by pairing them with more summery pieces to stay on the season's trajectory. Think booties and and a flowy white cotton dress. Or, jean shorts and a long sleeve blouse and vest. In this case a knitted white cami (this one is so comfy and comes in every colour), a pink lip, and minimal jewelry totally has me good to go to withstand the August heat all while breaking into some fall pieces.
If you're looking to break out some fall pieces try pairing them with:
Open toe sandals
Lighter, crisp colours like whites and nudes
Minimal, bronzed make up
Effortless pony or top knot
Summer bags (think a straw totes, light coloured cross-body etc.)
Are you slowly breaking into your Fall wardrobe? If so, how?
