Okay. So maybe we don't have any fabulous or fancy Valentine's Day plans set for next week. I'd be perfectly content with making dinner at home and opening a bottle of champagne just for fun! But that doesn't mean you won't find me sporting something festive and fun. Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and since my wardrobe is predominantly blush pink I'll definitely take it as the perfect occasion to pull out some fancier attire and all the pretty colours. If pink or red isn't your colour but you want to embrace the occasion there are other ways to give your own little "nod" to the day. Why not try:
- A swipe of lipstick. Pale pink, deep red, bright berry... change it up!
- Manicured nails. I'd love to try out some nail art. But the shade possibilities are endless!
- Accessories. Heart patterned socks, a pink crossbody, or maybe it's a jeweled pin.
This skirt has been in my closet for a few years now. It's a classic birdcage in the palest pink colour. I think pairing it with black creates a bit of romantic drama. To keep the outfit from looking too fancy, and to add a bit of edge, I paired it with another score from the Zara sale-- these leather mules. Definitely adds a cool, relaxed vibe to the outfit; don't you think? I love their point and V shape in front!
So now you know what I'll be wearing if we decide on a spontaneous outing! But what about you? In the need of some last minute love day outfit inspiration? I got you here, and here. Are you the kind of person who dresses for the occasion or keeps it casual?
What I'm Wearing: 424 Fifth birdcage skirt, RW & CO dress (similar, similar) (worn tucked in as top), Zara leather mules, Kate Spade bag
