Here we have a colour I never thought I'd wear. And now, I'm obsessed. Burnt orange? Ginger? Whatever it is... this jumpsuit sold me. So much so, that I had to do a full blog post on it. I love the peek-a-boo back, and the ruffled shoulders. Paired with chunky heels and a designer belt, I wore it to a Christening this weekend, however, I've already been seen wearing it more casually with a denim coat and slides. It's so versatile and to say the price fit the bill is an understatement. Jumpsuits are such great transitional pieces. In the summer they are light and airy, however, in the fall they can help make any outfit glam with a few additions. I took this jumpsuit from summer caj to fall glam in a few easy steps. Here's what I did:
1. Add a statement.
I knew before I even tried this jumpsuit on that I wanted to pair it with my Gucci belt. I love the way it accentuates the waist and elevates the suit. I even took it a step further and paired it with another statement piece, my Chanel bag. They both were investments and just prove that a $30 jumpsuit can look ultra luxe when paired with the right accessories. You don't need to go all designer here either, a chunky gold belt or a pair of drop earrings can do wonders.
2. Add some height.
Taking a jumpsuit from day to night, or casual to fancy can be done with the right shoes. Something that gives you a bit of lift will, without doubt, elevate the outfit. However, if heels aren't your thing you could add a pointy-toe flat to make the jumpsuit more fall appropriate.
3. Over the shoulder coverage.
The mornings have been quite chilly, so in order to stay warm yet still look fairly fancy, I added my leather coat on top of this jumpsuit. Leather coats really up the edge factor on any outfit instantly and I was feeling the glam! It was the perfect piece to tie in the accessories and throw over the shoulders for when it got chilly. Do without your basic cardigan and add a crop blazer or a collarless coat in the mix.
I found this jumpsuit at Forever 21 a few weeks ago and I can't seem to find the exact piece, but don't worry! I've linked a bunch of similar options below! What do you think of the glam jumpsuit look for fall? Would you rock it?
