White Chocolate Stuffed Ginger Molasses Cookies
The whole time I spent in Quebec City I was craving a soft, chewy, ginger molasses cookie. Sadly, all the maple syrup I consumed in QC only subsided this craving for so long. When I returned home on Monday finding a recipe became a priority. I scoured the internet and ended up heading back to Sally's Baking Addiction (where I previously tested out this recipe), and this woman's blog is now my addiction. These cookies were exactly what I was looking for; chewy, so soft, but a little golden on the outside, and the perfect sweet to spice ratio. I saw Sally topped hers with various chippits, but decided to take my cookies a step further. I kept half of my cookies plain, but stuffed two white chocolate baking melts in the middle of the rest of the cookies (see below). I really can't describe how utterly perfect these cookies are for the holidays, and stuffed with white chocolate… they are next level!! I followed her recipe to a tee (and yes-even the 24-hour dough chilling step) but it's soooo worth it! You just need to make them and find out for yourself.

High Tea at Home
I leave for a work trip tomorrow but felt completely horrible that I'll be missing my mom's birthday on Wednesday. We are as close as they come, so I knew I wanted to make up for my absence somehow, and involving dessert was essential. Many places around town offer high tea but considering that we have a whole whack of pretty, vintage tea cups that barely get any use, I figured it would be just as nice to stay home. I picked up some petits fours and cupcakes, we brewed a pot of strawberry-basil tea, and had a relaxing pre-birthday celebration before I leave for Quebec City on Monday. And I'm already thinking about a high tea theme for the next girls night!

Heels Over Fall
This is hands down my most favourite outfit from October. Mixing pastels with black, florals with fall, and my new most treasured shoes. It happened in NYC. I couldn't resist. And I have zero regrets. Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world… right? That's how I feel wearing these beauties and I'm fine with never taking them off.
