Vertical Stripe Romper

Red, white and blue is such a classic summer colour combination. And, if I wanted to, I could totally pull off going to a 4th of July party in this! Perfect timing seeing as the holiday is right around the corner (…but you know I'll be rocking red and white this upcoming weekend for Canada Day!) This spaghetti strap romper is fun and totally practical.  I was worried I would only be able to wear it to the pool or beach, but paired with a swipe of red matte lip cream and a belt makes it multi-functioning, and totally adds an element of chicness to an otherwise simple look. I love that simple additions can really elevate rompers, which are the most effortless piece of clothing imaginable… I mean, 1 and done, right?!

In all seriousness, the light fabric and open back kept me from melting into a pool of 4th of July mush this past weekend on our city staycation. I'm sure you caught me over snapping the entire time! It was B's birthday weekend and we first hit up Hammam Spa, where we had massages and hit up the steam room. I know-- steam room? In 30 degree heat? It was worth it to breath in that intoxicating eucalyptus scent and walk out of there feeling cleansed and as soft as butter! Plus, the easy, breezy romper kept me feeling cool post spa date.
